Artwork Guidelines
While we can work with a range of file formats, certain proprietary extensions can cause issues during conversion. The formats listed are our preferred submissions — following these guidelines helps ensure a smooth experience and quick turnaround.
Accepted File Formats
Vector
AI, CDR, EPS, PDF, SVG
Raster
JPEG, PNG, PSD, TIFF
2D CAD
DWG, DXF
3D
3MF, STEP, STL
1:1 Scale
All files must be supplied at 1:1 scale. We can resize on request, but will not do so without explicit instruction. Including a dimensioned drawing is strongly recommended — it gives us an independent reference to verify scale and confirm all features are within spec before production begins.
Vector Based Artwork
To guarantee sharp, legible impressions, all artwork must be supplied in a vector format. Bitmaps result in a loss of quality — especially on small type and fine detail.
High Resolution Bitmaps
Should bitmaps be unavoidable, they must be supplied at a minimum of 300 dpi. Depending on artwork complexity, files may need to be recreated in vector format — this will be communicated upfront and may incur additional costs.
Embedded Fonts & Images
All files must be correctly packaged before submitting — images must be embedded and fonts converted to outlines or paths. Design software often saves fonts as editable and images as linked files by default; these can be lost on import if not packaged correctly.
Bleed
If your artwork contains elements that extend to or past the edges of the final product, include a minimum of 1.5 mm bleed on all sides. This ensures clean edges on the finished piece and avoids any risk of white borders or incomplete coverage.
